Howdy folks Two Feathers here:
A few days ago someone on the forum contacted me and asked if I could make a .32 cal. ball starter? I never tried it so I said "I don’t know"? As it turns out I can, so I made 2.
Here’s one of them.
The price is $29.00, that’s $20.00 + $9.00 s&h. I’m stuck using the USPS pickup at home service so the shipping rates are much higher than going right to the PO. Also, these are very labor intensive. I had no Brass ramrod tips; so I had to craft my own from 5/16” Brass tubing, Brass pin stock, and Pewter.
This ball starter measures 4” from the tip of the Brass to the underside of the White Tail Antler handle. The Brass “tip” is tubing that has been fitted to the shaft, glued, and cross pinned for security. The tubing tip has been sanded to remove all signs of the pin. The tubing is then filled with a smelted Pewter “slug” and that is also cross pinned to keep the Pewter slug in place, before the Pewter is poured. The Antler Handle is securely fastened to the Hickory dowel for years of hard use, however only being a .32 caliber starter, you still can’t abuse it! I have signed the Antler on this one. I’ll try to sign the Antler on the second one as well.
I ship/sell to Canada, but all prices are in USD$ to the lower 48 states. Shipping outside the US is costly. Please PM for OTUS prices.
I prefer PayPal friends and family, but I also take postal or bank money orders. MO’s will add 1 week for travel time. I ship same day as funds are received, exceptions are Federal holidays, Sundays, PO hours, severe weather, and now this Corona Virus.
As always, thanks for looking. If interested, PM me here.
God bless:
