3 1/2 months until squirrel season and I'm gettin' ready.

A friend gave me a coffee can full of mixed 4's and 5's this morning to do a little fowler patterning before August 15th. That should keep me out of trouble until then. :hmm:

Best regards, Skychief.

August! I don't think I could wait that long. Good thing Missouri's starts in three weeks. I wonder why they make you wait? We used to be Labor Day weekend years ago, but I don't think anyone waited to then. Will good luck and come to the show me state if you can't wait there are squirrels everywhere this year!😄

You Hoosiers really are primitive, aren't you? We enlightened Kentuckians have a spring season in two weeks, May 16-June 19.

I'll be thinking about you. :haha:

Oklahoma season starts May 15 th and runs thru January 1st 2016 . Good luck to all.Tom :)

Squirrel hunting with a flintlock in period gear just makes me feel so alive and in touch with our ancestors. Can't wait.

Squirrels are open all year-round in MT (no season). They aren't the big meaty ones from out East, but our Pine Squirrels are still tasty....

sorry skychief going next week, theyre on the pheasant feeders so im going to ask em to leave nicely :stir:

The season is short here in Ontario as well - Sept. 19th to Dec. 15th in my area.

I've shot a few squirrels but I've never gone hunting for them specifically. Sounds like a nice way to spend a sunny fall afternoon with my fowler. :hmm:

I like to hunt them with a rifle; I'm more rifleman than smoothgunner. I've got a .32 and a .36 and either is perfect as well as super accurate.

August is too hot to squirrel hunt so I wait until at least September when it gets a bit more comfortable. I do hope I can go this year; it's good for the soul.
