I emailed Dixie Gun Works and they replied. They said they had no records about the gun because it was 30 years old. I was sadly disappointed with them. It has there name on it surely they have the blueprints somewhere.

Dixie never made guns that I am aware of. They would have imported and distributed.

Hi Oneflag,
If you remove the barrel and take it to a supplier of nuts & bolts, you can try a few machine screws, until you get the one that fits.
Then you will know the thread pitch.
Most likely it is metric, 5 or 6mm diameter.

Thanks for the replies and help. The forum will not let me send (Deadeye) a personal message.
Deadeye's profile says that he is a Gunsmith and he has had the same gun in his hand.
I wish he would also reply.

I'm enjoying the forum. I have several old smoke poles, I absolutely love muzzleloaders.
Thanks.
