Is the only difference between the civilian and army the fluted cylinder?

If I recall the difference between the 1860 army "civilian" and "military" models was the number of screws in sides of the frame and the recoil shield. The civilian had three screws showing in the frame side and the recoil shield was not cut to accept a shoulder stock. The military was 4 screws and recoil shield had that wedge shape cut in the lower area to accept and hold the shoulder stock. The fluted cylinder was one of the earlier models produced by Colt by special order of Ben McCulloch (early Texas Ranger). Collectors call them McCulloch model Colts. Ben McCulloch order from Colt I think 2000 of the fluted cylinder variety to arm Texas troops in 1861. Only about 1000 of them made it to Texas and the Confederacy. Colt wasn't too particular who he sold to early in the war.
