For your consideration is my newly made F&I War period Powder Horn. I am asking $150 which includes shipping.
It is a nice size horn, measuring 12.5" along the outside radius x 3" wide x 2.5" high.
I inscribed the figure of a handsome hunter with his gun and game bag on the top and decorated it with some nice symbols. One inscription reads "Be Kean of Eye And Powder Dry" (Misspelling was not uncommon and adds some charming naivete to the piece) and on the other side reads "Gott Und Land" (German for "God and Land") and the date of 1758.
The Poplar wood plug is stained to match the Cherry stopper and is secured with wooden dowels. Air tight.
This horn carries very well on either the left or right side.
Thanks for considering this nice horn.

They didn't have spelling standards back in the day. Read the Lewis & Clark journals, they were sharp guys, but the spelling and word usage is amusing! Dictionaries, etc., schooling, all that, people had to almost make language usage up as they went along. That's why Dr. Johnson, he of the dictionary in London, is famous to this day. Horns are fascinating!
