Of all the places to hold a firearm in the basement, a church is one place I would certainly never have expected. I wonder how many other beautiful things like that musket lie forgotten just waiting to be rediscovered. Darn! This one was just a few miles from where I live. Lol I know I'm late but congrats on your purchase. Who knows if this musket was not used by some of Montcalm's men on the plains of Abraham against the red coats.
