    dye question

    Has anyone ever tried using pecan hulls instead of walnut hulls to dye stuff? We have pecan groves out the wazzooo out here, but nary a walnut tree to be found anywhere close. The walnuts we do have in the Gila or Sacramento's are a different species than the ones back east.

    Pedersoli flinter

    I just acquired mine. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lighten up the trigger? I made a lighter flat spring to push the sear into the notches, but it still is somewhat heavier than I like. Thought about moving the trigger pivot, but this will require re-engineering the plate.

    stock bending?

    Is it possible to steam a stock and bend it at the wrist to give it more drop? I know that wood can be bent by this method, but I wonder if it is possible with wood of this thickness. One of my shooting buddies needs more drop on one of his rifles.
