Oh Jeez. Here comes the Kenetic Energy

The problem is if the "no rifles in Indiana" crowd has its way, and gets it by using the Kenetic Energy argument, Indiana may well lose PRB. Like I said, the "no rifles in Indiana" crowd already uses 200+yd inlines. They are simply out to control the DNR.

Oh Jeez. Here comes the Kenetic Energy

Haven't been on in a while as I have been fairly heavily involved in a Political argument here in Indiana. :nono: (Don't worry Claude, this all ties into Traditional Muzzleloading) :hmm: There is a current proposal to allow ballistically equivelent centerfire cartridge rifles to Indiana's...

    N. Indiana BP gunsmith

If you show up to one of our Shoots on a 1st Sunday here in Michigan City, there are at least 3 builders here who could help you. Michigan City Rifle Club, US Hwy 20. 9am-12pm 1st Sunday of every month. Visitors welcome. Offhand competition/blanket shoots and/or whatever bench practice you...

    An Animated, Ever Lasting Target?

Flutterby IS the correct name. IIRC it didn't mutate to "Butterfly" until the late 1600s. I'll have to dig up my Linguistics notes...

    TC Firestorm

Excellent rifle. AFAIK People looking for Flintlocks don't buy gimmicks - unless you consider PC to be a gimmick... :winking: I, for one, have a couple of requirements for a "regular-use" gun, and Stainless Steel is one of them. I wasn't looking for a showpiece or a rondy gun, I was looking...

    That darn T/C company,

The only way I've found to actually be able to pay for parts for my Firestorm is to order them as "spares". If I even hint that I'm replacing somthing, whether or not I buggered it up, they don't want me to pay for it. But they will let me buy "spare parts". :v

    Different Power Granulation Burn Rates

Works good in a .38sp case with a heavy soft lead bullet... hits right around 500fps out of my .38/.357Winchester 1892 clone. My pellet gun is louder than my 5gr4F/filler/180gr 75ft max "catsneeze"/"coonwhacker" load. :hmm: But I haven't found a good ML use for it.

    Black Powder Storage

After I've sifted my bulk, I store it in 1.5 litre clear plastic booze bottles, settled & filled to the top, then sealed with electrical tape and stored in the deep freeze. No moisture in the deep freeze, and it's nigh fireproof. Let it fully warm up to room temp before unsealing and there...

    NEED C&B DANGEROUS GAME BACKUP!

That load should get you about 2000 ftlbs. My favorite loadin AK for my FA 83 (Field Grade) was 350gr LBTWFN & 31gr 296/H110 (compressed). Hit about 1700fps/2200ftlbs. :shocked2: I got so I could dump all 5 into a paper plate at 25yds one handed from the draw in 8.6 sec. :hmm: That's all...

    ruger old army 50 conversion

I just got the Clement's conversion: It is... awsome. I have only had the opportunity to put 3 cylinders through it, none at a target and none over a chrony, but MAN is it cool to punch out 5 177RBs over 50gr 3F... and the balls were hitting in the six-inch(ish) bald spot on the berm I...

Question for any C&P shooters that have sent cylinder to Clements or Big-Iron

IIRC Clement will get you about 5gr in a .45 ROA. $50 & 2 weeks. The work he did to convert my .45ROA to .490 (50+gr 3F) is FABULOUS! I wouldn't hesitate to send him the ROA cylinder for reaming. Go to the Clement message board to read the posts by folks who had their .45s reamed. Lotsa good...

    Screened powder. My impressions.

Exactly what I found. Should shoot a bit cleaner too. What Mesh screen did you use? I screen my 3F to a 40mesh hold and screen my 4F to a 60mesh hold. (Out of 25lbs of Lidu Bulk 3F I got about 17lbs 3F/40, 7lbs 4F/60 and 13oz

    double barreled hand-gun

Not to sound impudent, but you'd have to ask Roy (just PM him) both of those questions. I don't feel comfortable quoting a Makers price. There are too many variables so "my" price is not likely to be "your" price. But in either case, in my experience with Roy it's a fair price for both parties.
