    That's the one I am referring to. Not very good as is but slap a bigger base and longer arm on it and it works great.

    The issue I keep having with paper cartridges is when shooting multiple cylinders the nipple holes eventually get a plug of paper that even picking won't clear. Needs to ne taken down and dug out from the inside. Also the only times I have ftf so I quit using them. I usually wipe the cylinder...

    I made one and bought one from powder inc. The one I made is ugly as sin. 😆 I had to really modify the one from powder inc to make it useable. Bigger base and much longer arm but now it works great and is as ugly as mine. 👍🏾

    I start by cutting a long strip and then I shove a 3\32 tap into the cap tear it off and trim with fingernail clippers. I would prefer them without any backing at all but don't know if that's possible.

    Both mine were beat to hell from holster wear and being carried on the ranch or in the truck. Never thought of it as antiqued but it does look snazzy new compared to how it was. Not everyone buys these to hang on a wall or go play dress up with. 😆

    Soaked in white vinegar for roughly 15 minutes lightly buff with 1000 sanding sponge and hit with some ballistol. Really simple and easy to strip the blue and the "case hardened" colors as well. 😆

    I stripped the blue off one of them and liked it enough to do it to my 1849 which makes the cylinder scene actually look better. Just letting it patina as it's used out of curiosity and liking it so far.

    Both are stamped 2023 steel frame piettas one from midway and one from Muzzle-Loaders. com.
