    I know this has been asked a number of times before. What does the g stand for in black powder labels such as ffg? Do the factories coat powder with an anti-static coating and coat them to resist moisture?

    I’ve noticed a few companies are out of stock of different size lead balls. Probably panic buying, but is there possibly a shortage of lead or will or could there be a shortage of lead in the future?

    Scratched Frizzen

    Thank you. I just wasn’t sure. I’ve had percussions for years, but hadn’t tried the flintlock. I’ll take it out and let ‘er spark away!

    This is my first, but I hope not last flintlock. It is a Pedersoli Frontier .45. When I received it from the dealer and opened the package, I saw this scratch on the frizzen. Looks like it has been gouged with a piece of metal. Should I not worry about it or does it need to be smoothed over?
