Need opinions on Traditions Crockett 32 cal small game rifle

I have owned my crocket for about 5 years now, have never had any problems with it. With 20 grains of FFG it will shoot about a 1 inch group at 50 yards. I have shot it out to 100 yards but because of the light ball it drafts a little too much. Good gun, wouldn't be afraid to buy another.

    Cleaning Solvent

Talking to some old guys at the local gun shop the other day and got a formula to clean B/P rifle. It is 1/3 Murfey Soap, 1/3 alcohol and 1/3 Hydrogen Peroxide. Mixture goes in a colored bottle because the Hydrogen Peroxide will degrade. Has anyone used this?

    steel furniture for a TC?

No, but you can get one through TOW (some modification required). You can rust blue it. Easy enought and it looks great.

    steel furniture for a TC?

The easiest way I have found is to contact T/C and purchase steel parts that are already finished. Purchase Renegade parts.

    1st Long Rifle

I am not really new to this, and have kinda made a hawken rifle, from a kit I put together. A T/C Conversion stock, green mountain barrel, precarved stock, and then other parts to complete. I don't think I am ready to carve my own stock but maybe could handle a little bit of an advanced kit...

    Possibles Bag

Have made a few possibles bags but never really liked the finish. Decided to try something, a while back had made some bore lube out of bees wax and olive oil. After I dyed the leather put about 3 coats of this on the leather. Worked great. Waterproofed and gave the leather a soft satin...

    surgical tube cleaning

I have found in the hawken type rifles if you remove the barrel and then remove the nipple you can stick this end in a bucket of soapy water and then use the ram rod and a jab and do the same thing as the tube and fitting. As long as the nipple hole is covered you can suck water up into the barrel.

    Australian Muzzle Loaders

Robbo, I lived in Connecticut USA for a short time, 5 years. As I read your info, it reminded me of how that state is set up. A little more expensive, but really very simular. In Connecticut, you apply for a city permit, cost about 50.00 to do this you have to get certified by an NRA...

    Power Tools

I have slowly been replacing powertools for my gun building. I have a bandsaw, tablesaw, two sanders and a drill press, dremal tool. I was thinking of an upgrade in air compressors, any thoughts as to something else that may be needed more then a compressor?

    36 T/C Cherokee

I have a beautiful little T/C Cherokee. Haven't really paid much attention to it. One of those things that you get, but play with other toys and kinda put it aside. Well its time, anyone got any good ball loads for it. I think I have shot it with 3F using 30grs and have only gotten so-so...

    Pecatonica stocks for T/C

I did this aout a year ago. As stated the tough thing is the butt plate. Nothing will just drop in. You will have to sand, fit, file, and sand and file a little more to make it fit. I think they say it is about 90% or so. Not difficult but not a no-brainer. I addition you will have to drll...
