    chisels....lesson learned.

The last couple of weeks I've been diddling(?) with chisels and everything(a lot anyway) that goes with them. First lesson I bought a set. Who wants to buy 1 chisel, right? Second lesson I didn't buy premium chisels, Pfiel, Two Cherries, Pie, Auriou, or any of the well respected. I purchased a...

    AquaFortis ?????

I plan on finishing my curly maple stock with AquaFortis. I did a test run on the butt and it turned the stock almost black. I watched Mr. Kiblers video(Kibler video) and in this video he introduced Tannic Acid and it turned that stock almost black also. He showed rubbing it down with the...

    SOLD Pedersoli Tryon Rifle

Have a 50 cal Tryon rifle for sale. Has gunmetal ht ardware. I think, by the description it is a Target Model. It doesn't say target model on it. Bore is bright and shiney. Straight wood and the only blemish is about 6-8" of barrel on left side has remnants of surface rust. Not REAL bad. $650

    Hello from Texas

Been immersed in other things but have been getting enthused about the holy black again. Have a GPR I built from a kit. Took the fishbelly out of it. I didn't know about the tang area needing modified when I built it, or I'd changed that also. Built a 54 flinter from a Pecatonica(sp?) stock...
