The load was 90gr FF over powder card, .610 chewed ball and another card over the ball. I think they...

    renegade stock

A couple of years ago I bought a T/C Renegade. I should say the stock and lock are renegade, but the bbl is a cut down 15/16 Hawken. I glass bedded it in the stock, then I had to inlet the lock to the bbl, which didn't turn out very well. I didn't know what I was doing at the time. There was...

    Drying Beans

We had ordered some PC seeds from Heirloom Seed this year for our garden. I wanted to use the stuff for a 1860 living history this fall. What is the best way to dry black beans(black turtle)? Would they have kept them in the hulls or shelled? And how would they dry them out? Any input would be...

    metal finish on lancaster gun?

I'm a first time builder and am starting with a Jim Chambers early lancaster gun. He dates it from 1765-1775. What would be the correct finish for the metal as new, or with a couple years use on it? Would leaving it white, or browning it be correct? Any advice would be appriciated!
