SOLD T/C Hawken two barrel set

Maybe I missed it, what are the calibers/bores of these barrels?

I got a patch stuck in barrel

I always drill a hole in my ramrods so I can insert a nail or a piece of welding rod to give me a handle to pull on when that happens.

    T/C 56 roundballloads?

This from a previous post, a few years back. When I had mine, I loaded it with a .530 RB over 60 grains ffG, a Wonder Wad, and a tight denim patch. It was not easy to load, but it shot like a rifle at 50 yards. If I recall correctly,,groups were in the 1 1/4" range. (With rifle sights, of course)

    eezox or frog-lube

I have heard rumors to the effect that Frog Lube and T/C Bore Butter are the same thing. Anyone else heard that? I really like Bore Butter, BTW.

Green Mountain .58 barrel for TC Hawken

Not a .58, but I put one of the .54 barrels on my T/C Hawken years ago, and it was a perfect drop in fit with no issues at all.

    Pedersoli Mortimer Flintlock

I had one. It was a beautiful rifle, but as has been noted, very muzzle heavy. I had the barrel shortened on mine, and it was better. For $1300, though, it would have to be perfect.

Cabelas Blue Ridge vs GPR Flintlock

You might try the Cabela's a little south of you on I25. I'm pretty sure they carry the GPR as well as the Blue Ridge. Also, try the Blunderbuss in Thornton, I think it is. I haven't been there for years, but they are one of the few remaining BP shops in the area. I sure miss the Cache le...

Cabelas Blue Ridge vs GPR Flintlock

I have had two of the Pedersolis, a rifle and a carbine, both flinters. I would buy another without reservation, if I were in the market.

    Exotic projectiles?

I have read more than once of the exploits of Sir Samuel Baker in Africa. Once he found himself with no bullets for his muzzleloading rifle and a down but not out animal that was bent on rearranging his anatomy. He pulled a handfull of sixpence coins from his pocket, loaded them, and proceeded...

    Lyman GPR flint size?

I generally just measure the frizzen at the widest point and buy that size flint. A friend had one of those, you'll like that rifle.

    Additional help on Pedersoli Hawken

Measure across the widest part of the frizzen, and use that size flint.

    56 cal TC w/rb's

Stay with the thicker patch and go down in ball size. That may solve your problem.

Thanks, ROKLOK. I'll check that out.

    Range report Pedersoli Kentucky

That depends on so many variables that I really can't give you a specific number. Suffice it to say that you can refresh the edge on an English knapped flint (or a French amber), and you can't easily refresh a sawn flint. I'm not familiar with the German sawn flints, but I can't imagine they...

    Range report Pedersoli Kentucky

When I was shooting flinters I experimented with the various types of flints, too. I had mediocre to poor results with the sawn flints, and couldn't tell much difference between the French amber and good ol' English black. Your results may vary, of course, but I wouldn't get too heavily invested...
