    California half-stock

I forgot to get a full aspect picture, Ill have to post some. If this T/C renegade had a crescent butt plate it would look very similar . Question: How much of this rifle was crafted by Mr Buselmier? Was it sort of a kit? The smith only provideing fit and finish? Did our smith do the wood...

    California half-stock

It sounds like Buselmeir is the builder. And BTW it does appear to be loaded.

    California half-stock

This rifle was found beneath the floorboards of an abandoned cabin. The cabin was located in a remote location, Mendocino County, CA. This was about 1920 and has been in the same family since. Lettering can be made out on the left side of the barrel. The top line, very small is 'uselmeir'...

    A very fine TC Hawken

T/C custom shop produced rifles with select wood. The carving [that checkering!] puts this over the top. Would GOD punish you for having some engraving? P.A.

    Help for the handi-capped

I have lapped bores using a bullet puller with the screw removed. The brass disk is fairly close to the bore size to keep it centered. Secure a thick patch to the disk with a 10-32 screw [this assures that it comes out]. The screw should be long enough to fit into a stout working rod. Put your...

    T/C breach threads

Thanks Archie, that is very interesting. When going flint, whacking the rear of the barrel leads to other problems. Knowing the threads I can just R&R the breach. Barrels seem to be getting more precious. GreenMountian left a big hole in the market. P.A.

    T/C breach threads

On a one inch factory T/C barrel, what is the breach threads in the barrel. ToW lists 11/16 and 3/4 and says both are OEM. I am wanting to convert a percussion to flint and I have a 3/4:16 flint breach. Will be 56 or 58 cal. ??? P.A.

    source for point blankets

Very interesting. So the candy stripes were rare. The four point was unusual. Not what I would have guessed, but thats history for you. P.A.

    source for point blankets

This seems obvious, evil-bay has pages of them. Track of Wolf still has some also. Recently got a big 4-point HudsonBay for $90, red/black stripe. P.A.

    T/C .54 Grey Hawk ?

Repulsive as it may be, evil-bay usually has one or two. Look in the 'blackpowder' section. The stock pictured came off a rust-bucket. Stocks can sometimes be had from guns with bad metal. The good thing about T/C is that the size of components are usually consistent. The wood you get for your...

    Patents

I may wish to start the Myer Historic Arms llc. So I will build half-stock rifles. Traditional side hammer locks, single triggers, fixed sights and hooked breach. The question is: Will I be steppin on somebodys patents? Were these rifle designs ever patented? Have the patents expired? Are...

    Muzzleloading Future

Actually its about 30. Picked up a Renegade 62 smooth yesterday. I have 10 or so other brands. I have no scratch built guns. I do find it sad that there are no sidehammers built in the US now. Henry Arms should offer a full stocked smokepole. Two years ago I got my grandson a lefty Lyman...
