    Yes, I ordered direct from Lyman. Backorder from the fall. They were always very nice to me and apologetic when I called, but I don't think they are set up for direct sales.

    I just received my back-ordered 57 GPR sight last week. Ordered it in October. There are other sources for the same model sight. Maybe that is what she meant. It's been my experience that their ordering and shipping isn't very good. Try Bownell's or TOW etc. That being said, the sight is great...

    If I were to bring an original rifle (1808 contract musket) to be looked over, are there any rules or laws I need to comply with, like keep it in a case, etc? In NJ we have lots of laws on transporting firearms. I'm new at this, and not sure how to bring my gun in to this show.

    We found the guns in our house we bought in Flemington Boro in 1990, moved to Delaware Twp in 2000. So 20 yrs later, finally getting around to doing something with them. Might not have attempted anything if it weren't for the wealth of knowledge on this sight.

I haven't shot anything since my high school hunting days, and don't shoot ML yet, but my 13 yr old son will be shooting ML in 4H soon. We found a couple old BP guns in an old house we bought, and our need for info brought us here...
