I didn't get that until after this thread. Otherwise I wouldn't have said anything.

    Best anti-rust for after cleaning

Even a light oiling will flow into the breech in time. That's what oil does.

    Colt Replicas

As was said already. The screw is to keep the wedge from falling out. No need to touch it. Be careful with a Dremel. You can take off too much too fast. I do it by hand with different grades of emery paper.

100 shots can be loaded easily, but here we are talking about them again.

Don't take what I said out of context. When I said that I was responding to Swamp saying the rules are clear. Yes, they are, but if something changes we should be notified. I don't think we're expected to read the rules everyday to see if there's some changes. Just saying.

Poor Vision - How do you shoot?

At some point. Nothing works except a scope. So, I use one. Crystal clear to 200yds. The elk will thank me for not wounding them.

I was going by this post by Zonie. The Rules section has been recently changed to read: "3. We do not discuss copper and/or jacketed, plastic/polymer tipped bullets, sabots, power belts, or other 'plastic-wrapped' bullets."

    Cheapest source of powder

I was going to suggest Graf & Sons, but I see they raised their prices.

Hard to keep up if they're going to make new rules.

    Colt Replicas

If you fiddle with the fit of the wedge on Colts. You can get a thumb fit in and out. the same with the fit of the barrel on the frame. I shoot CAS, and have to take out the cylinder out of two Colts 6 times during an event. I do this so I can use a cylinder loader. I find it twice as fast as...

That was just an example. Everybody is free to use what they want. The question is, should it be discussed on this forum? Just a thought. btw..T7 has nothing in common with BP. They even had to add the smoke.

I'm all for keeping the forum traditional, but why not go all the way? A copper bullet is no more modern than modern sub powders as an example.

Didn't they have copper back then? Nobody ever tried a bullet made from copper? Just saying. :idunno:

Elk are already high in Colorado. I was at 11,500 ft scouting today, and elk are everywhere.

That won't matter. It's the center of the paper we're aiming at. Not the X. Make sure you youngsters put the X in the middle. :blah:
