    The one that got away

I had 2 muzzleloaders back in 2007 that were lost in a pawn shop. One was a very good Hawkins .50 cal( to which I now have one now, so no lost ), and the other one was a mystery gun. It was a .45 cal gun that was made in Italy. It was a Girl's gun by the looks of its skinny shape, and heart seal...

    Video of my Loading Technique

That's what I use. 0.15 is way easier when lubed. I still don't know if your speed and muzzle energy increases with the thicker patches, but when it comes to being able to load your gun without the risk of breaking your ram rod or punching holes through your hands thinner is better for the...

    Video of my Loading Technique

Cool I use to live in Houston when I was 5 and 6 years old. And I do know some people from where you are living right not now. :v I wounder if there's any real differences in the patch thickness, for as speed and ac

    Video of my Loading Technique

not a bad video. When I shoot I only use the 0.15th inch patch instead of the thicker ones. The only one reason is when the the thin patches are lubed up, they go down with one smooth push of the ram rod. I don't know if there is a real differences in power or accuracy, but that's what I use...

    Fast twist barrels and conicals?

simple.. buy Lead free bullets! Sadly only inline muzzleloaders can shoot these types of bullets.. http://www.barnesbullets.com/ Or you can cast you bullets from zine.. However, casting from zine is both very difficult and toxic. You can mix copper powder with tin powder, melt...

finding 4fg blackpowder for flintlock priming

Wow I Didn't think this tread would take off like so. Any ways, when I do get a flint lock I will set up my own priming powder. I see no point into buying a pound of this stuff, since It only take just a couple of grains to prime the pan, 50 grains could last me 30 shots or more. So I will...

    Weight vs Volume

I know this subject has been talk about a lot of times, but to me there is no single answer. A lot of people use handy volume chargers to load their guns, but does what happens when you change your powder Granulation size. Then you need to adjust your power charge some way, or just get a...

finding 4fg blackpowder for flintlock priming

This was very easy to fine on google. But very hard to find on any muzzleloader/gun shop. This powder is use for priming flintlocks.. With me if I had one, I would want to use the finest powder out there, for fast release of my shot.. You can still get ffffg black powder (even 5fg but only...

Video of me Shooting the Kentucky Pistol for New years

LOL my neighbor were sleeping. I timed my shot just around the time of the count down, and fired on the one second line. I figure if there were any hang fire that I still would go off either a second or a second after the New Years came. I should have fired my .50 cal rifle.. but the pistol...

Video of me Shooting the Kentucky Pistol for New years

It was a war zone in my neighborhood. So I took the very first shot of the year(or as close as I can get) with my .45 Cal Kentucky Pistol. It's caplock, and loaded with 35 grains of fffg goex. My camera was shooting about 25 frame a second, and I do believe I got very lucky to catch some of...
