    Colt Dragoon differences

As far as I know, The Whitneyville Dragoon has a Colt Walker grip and frame. The first model Dragoon has oval bolt notches on the cylinder like the Walker. The second model Dragoon has rectangular and beveled Bolt notches on the cylinder. The third Model Dragoon has the same rectangular...

Remington '58 Army Cylinder edges are Sharp!!!

Ouch! I've had a similar problem on a High Standard target pistol I shoot. The rear sight mount is sharp. How do you like the Stainless Gun? Is it easier to clean? I've been thinking about one.

1860 Colt Army in CSA service

I was watching "Gods and Generals" again on DVD and caught a Colt 1860 Army being fired by a Confederate officer on the wall at Fredricksburg. My question is, did the Southern States have the opportunity to purchase 1860 Army revolvers from Colt before the outbreak of hostilities? (when...

    Dance and Brother revolver

I was just looking at the picture on Cabelas website, looks 1860 Army size and not Dragoon size, I'd guess 30-35 grains. I could be wrong since my nearest Cabelas never has one in stock to look at.

why do we use wads in bp revolvers?

As long as it is non petroleum based, should work fine. Mobil 1 S G has not run on me in the heat yet, but I'll be testing it again from now to August. :)

why do we use wads in bp revolvers?

I've used lubricarted wads, but I prefer Mobil 1 synthetic grease. Not traditional, but it works.

    777 FFG in Horse Pistols

Has anyone used 777 FFG in Walkers or Dragoons? I did not want to hijack the earlier thread about Pyrodex. I have a can of 777 FFG I'd like to use in my horse pistols and I wondered if anyone else had done it and if there are any tips. I usually use Goex FFFg BP in these guns with success...
