    13 months later...and just in time

    At last, finally got my GM .50 barrel that I've been trying to get since last February. I stumbled across one at a local shoot, new in the box for $150. Now I just have to wait for my next weekend off to see how it shoots. And just in time for the first club shoot of the year!

    I just watched this great movie yet another time and have been trying to figure out what Josey is carrying. I narrowed it down to a pair of Colt Walkers and an 1860 in his belt but can't see the one in the shoulder rig close enough to tell what it is. Anyone know?

    chain firing

    Can anyone explain what causes a chainfire? My understanding is that a spark from one chamber crosses to another chamber. I use .454 rb in the .450 chambers of my '58 remington. I can't understand why a felt wad will prevent a chainfire when there should not be anything getting past the ball...
