Finished this up today. Pretty plain and simple but it turned out better than I expected.
This is a big horn so one fill up should get me through the squirrel season šŸ˜

I am working on an old horn that resembles yours. It is also a big one, bigger than I really like. I also plan on plain and simple but functional.

How much powder does that one hold? The last one I made (Hillbilly horn) holds about 3/4 lb.

Just a couple of curiosity questions, does the staple protrude into the powder spout/opening?

How does it hang? In the picture it appears the rear lobe for the strap should have been in a different location?

I like those small lobed horns! That being said I too am curious how it hangs, another thing, I like the staple, but I never hang mine from it. I wrap the strap around the spout and through the staple, I do beleive that was the purpose of the staples of the originals. Overall good looking horn.

The staple does not go into spout channel......it's close though.
This is a left carry horn but I carry on my right, by rotating the lobe and staple where I did it cradles perfect to my body on my right side.
It took some experimentation but it work out well.
