The screw threads are metric M5x0.8
earlier this year i broke the top jaw screw on my traditions trapper flint pistol. i finally got around to fix it and here's the product lol
the screw was too long and bottomed out before it was tight, the nut acts as a spacer.

If it works use it!. While not original ,it works. Some time with a sharp file, or grind stone could give you a "thumb screw" top that would look better, not work any better , just look better.
