I'm not a builder but have purchased items from them that I couldn't find anywhere else.

As some of you know, I've been looking for an authentic replica Hawken rifle. I looked on their site and their Hawken kits aren't listed. A couple of months ago I noticed the 1803 Harper's Ferry rifle was gone. I know Pecatonica River has them but what's up with Track? Is it a leftover Pandemic interrupted, supply chain of materials thing?

Thanks!

Walt

TOW has been dropping the number of different kits and major components that they have available for quite some time now, at least items I have been looking at. Worried another source may be downsizing a bit, whatever the reason doesn’t really matter if it goes that way. About to place an order with them that would have been significantly larger if items were in stock and/or still listed on their website.

Have you checked Pecatonica River?

Pecatonica River has had a few of the items I have been looking for, which is great, but the fact that a well established source’s stock and selection is very diminished, is very concerning, at least to me. So far nothing I really can not get, but options are not what they recently were. Need to place my TOW order before items are gone or no longer available.

It's concerning to me as well. Not what I would expect from TOW. Makes me a little nervous!

Ok, so I just called them and spoke with John,
His basic answer was, "Supply chain".
He said they have everything for kit's besides "Lock, Stock and Barrels" and the "UN-listing" decision was made to save folks from frustration,, adding that as components become available they will list the full kits again.
I do know they get some things from Pecitonica,, but Pecitonica only has enough product to offer their own listings, with nothing left for other supply houses.

So it's the same for them as it is across the country with everything,, :dunno:
😔

Tho Ive bought lots from TOTW, The Rifle Shoppe is the place for the real 1803 Harpers Ferry Rifles, Lewis & Clark rifles too.
Everything else is a bad copy.

I was hoping for an answer like this.

Thanks!

You might give Pecatonica Rifle Works a call, THey have good inventory and do the stocks for several others. They have always helped me and I know the stock situation before I place the order. Same with Log Cabin Gun Shop. Although both are at or on their way to Friendship today and this weekend. June 3,4,5

"On their way to friendship..."
I'm new to all this so PLEASE, what is "Friendship"?
Friendship, IN, home of the muzzleloading National events, see: https://festivalnet.com/54269/Friendship-Indiana/Sports-Events/Nmlra-National-Championship-Shoot
National championships of muzzle loading. Black powder shooting instruction and competitions including trap, skeet, quial walk, sporting clays, pistol, rifle, youth, and primitive, period crafts, living history interpreters, classes, museum displays and lectures, and muzzle loading supplies.

Shooting Events
The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association holds two major shooting events each year at the Walter Cline Range in Friendship, Indiana. The annual Spring National Shoot is held in mid-June and the National Championship Shoot is held in mid-September. Several weekend shoots are held throughout the year.

During the two major events shooters from around the world compete for national record scores. There are competitions for muzzleloading rifle, pistol, shotgun, musket, bench and slug guns, as well as primitive archery, tomahawk and knife throwing. Spectators are welcome - better yet, become a member and participate. All levels of skill are welcome. You'll find most competitors are eager to share information - you may even make a few new friends.

Friendship starts june 11. Maybe packing up to load the car up with gear? Oh wait that is me. These guys take trucks and trailers full of fun stuff!!!

It’s about time they pulled incomplete kits.
As far as the 1803 Harpers Ferry they’ve been missing parts for at least 5 years.
Four years ago the only place I could get HF parts was The Rifle Shoppe.
That only took 11 months to receive, glad I didn’t order from anyone else!!
About 8 years ago when I called Track to complain about a back order a fella told me “if any part says Out of Stock, Don’t Order the Kit”!!!

As we have established the authentic Hawken rifles offered by our sponsor, the Hawken Shop in Washington will be too heavy, you will have to go for something that looks authentic, such as the Pedersoli Missouri River Hawken (Fast twist 1 in 24) or the Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken (slow twist 1 in 65 and caliber 54). Weight is still in the 10 pound range. Perhaps you may be able to find one of the Investarms Great Plains Rifles or the Gemmer rifle.
