Thanks Jake!!You have done wonders with what looked to me to be a lost cause.
That is amazing work, thanks for sharing.Left side of the lock area was okay, right side and the front were destroyed..I blew the whole thing out with a Dremel, replaced everything..I used water thin Cyanoacrylate to soak all the wood at the repair..NEVER break again, the core is basically a solid piece of plastic now..Every flaw more than a crack was replaced with wood..
Alchemist with a degree in Dremel..LOL!!You, sir, are clearly some sort of wizard.
Most ML suppliers have wedge plates-DGW,Log Cabin, TOW - tho you may need to fit them.
Thanks Clint!! I do a lot of crazy stuff..A few months ago,I built a rotisserie for painting guitar bodies, built it to take different adapters for different stuff..This is a 1940-ish Stevens 56C stock I'm in the process of restoring..Stock was firewood..Varnish out of an airbrush..I'll be putting amber Shellac on the Shotgun project..WOW, Acker!!! I do some stock repair work myself, but would not have tried what you have accomplished! Great job, sir, great job!!!
