hi everyone-
thank you for taking the time to read/respond to my post and having a forum available.

i have a chance to purchase these two cannons. i was curious as to the markings on them ( V and K.S.S.). what they mean. i have tried doing some research, but i definitely don't have the experience to know where to look. anyhow, the barrels are apprx. 8" or so.

also if there is any other information i should be aware of, but am too much of a novice to realize to ask, please feel free to advise, it is appreciated.

thank you again,

carl

Well at best guess K.S.S. is the maker intials of the home made cannon.

You need to post a lot more pictures with better details and description for us to help.

The Fullsize picture of both cannons hint at a pair of home made cannons.

The picture with the V or partial N hint at something else entirely- a swivel gun.

So post up some pictures to show the cannons full view front back and sides, close up.

We may be able help you.

I see. Well, those were the only pictures I took while there as I figured I'd be able to find something about the markings that would unfold to answers about other questions that would arise. But, not a whole lot of specific information out there about these. But, of course, I stumbled across this site.

Anyhow, I really wouldn't feel right about going back and asking if I could do a photoshoot, as they don't belong to me, so the posted pictures will have to suffice (unfortunately for me).

Thanks for your time, it was nice of you to share the information that you did. I appreciate it.
