Who makes good quality cast iron cookware?

Here are a few sites to look at dealing with dutch ovens. Don't have anything to do with these sites, except learning from them. http://www.macaovens.com/index.htm http://papadutch.home.comcast.net/~papadutch/dutch-oven-cooking-sitemap.htm http://www.wag-society.org/cleaning.php...

What do you set your oven on??

Put yourself some handles on them. Makes them easier to move, hot or cold  Just my two cents worth!

    iron cookware

I season with crisco, and in between coat it with mineral oil while still warm. No rancid smell or taste. Beeswax :hmm: Will try that on one of my black pots.

    POWDER IN YOUR HORN

Same problem I had :cursing: Pick-up a 17 hmr or 17 remington casing from the range and let your imagination run wild  Works for me and will also fill your priming horn, quite nicely!

    Let's see your skillets

Am new to this site but... Have you thought about using a used disc harrow blade? Weld the hole shut, put a handle or handles on it. A little heavy, but the shape is about right. :hmm:

    shorten my barrel

Find a good deal on chop saw blades, buy them. Then tell the wife you need a saw to go with the blades! It took my wife a few years to figure it out!

    No more spit patches?

I use nothing but spit when shooting matches. Swap between shoots with spit. Have a different load for hunting, I use bore butter. Accuracy is not affected in my gun!?! We clean at the end of the day with a combination hydrogen peroxide, murphys oil soap and alcohol. And I can hear the gasping...
