    Gourd question

Wife is making gourd canteens and has had some success but we do have a few questions. We used gourd canteens lined with paraffin/wax over the weekend and upon emptying the contents we discovered the water to be a bit yellow and cloudy and some unidentifiable little particles, (could have been...

    Running an event and complaints

I have volunteered many times, run a few events myself, and I mean "run it myself". Never got thanks, which is okay cause my ego is small. You can not in any way shape or form please everyone, somewhere, someone, will be offended. Most criticisms come from those that have never run an event...

    Panther tent

I am about to order a new tent, got rid of my 12X14-9ft high wall tent, just too much for me to put up by myself anymore. I am looking at the 12X12 wedge that Panther advertises, just not sure about the available space inside with the sloped walls. It is just me and the woman, perhaps an...

left handed shooter - right handed flintlock?

I have been shooting right handed flintlocks for years lefthanded, no problems. I actually prefer rh flinters, lock is easy to see when priming and easier to cover in bad weather.

    Need Expert Advice

Be you shooting Black powder or some modern replacement, pyrodex, triple seven? I would switch to the musket nipple, put one on my Lyman GPR, never better ignition.

    Gap between pan and barrel.

I used lead from a round ball hammered flat to fill a gap between pan and barrel, works great and is form fitting, and easily replaced. Just lay it on barrel when replacing lock, tighten lock screws like normal.

    CVA Blunderbuss

Thanks for the info, just got back from the Log Cabin. Replaced the frizzen and mainspring, got a lot of cleaning to do before I try a round. Think I may reshape the stock to more of a 1750's Flavor. Oz and Dan think the bell is press fit also, tough to remove. Will give some thought before...

    CVA Blunderbuss

Will be getting a CVA Blunderbuss, upon inspecting this piece it has the appearance of a threaded bell at the muzzle. This got me to thinking if I could remove the bell and replace with a thread protecter I would have a unique and more usable caone gun. Any thoughts or info?
