    Ordered Kibler Southern Mountain Rifle

You are so right, thought my sanding was perfect but after applying the finish it was not so perfect.

    Truck Gun?

In this day and age I would not keep ANY gun in a vehicle my guns are on me, locked in my safe or handy in my house when I’m home PERIOD. If the weapon in question is in a gun lock safe bolted to the vehicle then it’s still a maybe. If I can’t go into a building when I’m carrying I don’t go in...

Application of Barrel Brown & Degreaser

Using Laurel Mountain Forge’s Barrel Brown & Degreaser and just followed their directions on their website.

Application of Barrel Brown & Degreaser

On application of the 2nd coat of Barrel Brown the barrel was blotchy and had black spots in many places so I scuffed it with white scotch-brite and set it aside until I could sand the barrel back to bright metal. The next morning to my surprise the barrel had a even light coat of rust so I...

    Shooting Marbles?? Is that smart?

By the looks of the powder residue on the steel targets looks like the marbles were turned back to sand on impact. Would have been neat to see the impact in slow motion.

    Stubborn Stuck Bullet

No advice, other than Idaho Ron’s process would be the best option if the compressed air didn’t Work.

    Stubborn Stuck Bullet

Idaho Ron’s video on grease gun removal was THE BEST solution to ball removal. I would get the zerk fitting that fits your barrel and put it in your possibles pouch for “if there is a next time” Congrats on winning.

    Gunsmithing screwdrivers

Having a set of Grace screwdrivers which fit screw heads with very little to no slop, but if the fastener it tight they are guaranteed to break if it’s a smaller size bit, broke 2 on a first time use.

IMA Flints By The Pound ...Got 'em...Now What?

The abbreviations drive me nuts also, having been in the military where they used them all the time you would think I could figure them out but I can’t either. Taking a few seconds longer in writing a response would make it a lot easier for us.

    Yep, I'm a sissy.

The time in America where we just did what had to do to get the job done “We” are now paying the price in our old age and we would do it again. We now do what is necessary to make it easy on our bodies.

    Kibler contacted me!

I would bet they have already. Ballshooter has done himself proud.

Kibler SMR finally finished in cherry

I bought the Quick Ship also but in .32 I can only hope mine comes out as good as yours. With it being a Quick Ship I was trying to find the flawed stock but can’t, worth the savings. I like the smoothness of the black furniture. Congrats on your build.

Not totally new to muzzleloaders but just bought a Kibler Southern Mountain Rifle Kit in .32 caliber. I’ve been viewing YouTube videos and many lead me to this forum so I’m sure I will be able to gain more knowledge from these threads.
