    Since the last post I have had the flask "Checked" by a chap who is really into these things. He thinks that the body is right and Edo period but the cap/measure is modern. The Mon and lacquer are ok plus the construction is of wood, I had a suspicion that it may be plastic. Sorry you cannot...

    Japanese matchlock bits required,help.

    I have a great Ten Mon teppo, short barrel with silver overlay and family crests, sadly the fuse(?) arm(?) has been replaced with a new job, although that must be over twenty years ago. Any idea how I can get a genuine replacement and of course a piece of cord?.

    Reminds me of the 'Punt guns' they were huge but this is certainly Chinese in origin. I have posted some other equally poor picture on my web site, seems that my riend is now going to sell the monster, how you would transport such a thing I have no idea......
