    Leman rifle kit?

    Shorten' up that 36 inch barrel to 32 to 33 inches...Believe you'll be alot happier with it in the long run..I have a 36 inch 58 cal in a Hawken full stock flinter that is just a little too much...Wish it was 32 inches...I am old too and get tired after only 1/2 dozen shots any more... :winking...

    tipi or wall tent

    Have used white canvas wall tents for both hunting camp and rondevous...Would recommend a wall tent for hunting modern and get the frame with it if you can afford it...Takes time to find and cut poles in the wild and you need to set it up a few times before the trip to make sure you've got...

    They is a lot to be said about "If they're still standing, KEEP SHOOTIN'"...I would take that a bit farther and say "If they're still MOVING, KEEP SHOOTIN'", and always reload immediately after that first shot....That first shot is always the most important, make it the best one... :winking...

    Have been shooting a 58 cal full stock Hawken flinter for rendz and hunting for the passed 15 years...Has a 36 inch, 1" AF Green River Rifle Works barrel with 1 in 72 twist... Shoot .575 round ball with 60 grain FFg and 90 grain FFg with a tight pillow tic patch for woods walks and "gallery"...

    They are kind of interrelated...In a short barreled 62 caliber in a 1 in 72 twist you may not be able to shoot enough powder to gain/get an accurate AND powderfull load... Say you load up with a 140 grain FFG load in a 62 cal, 36 inch barrel with a 1 in 72 twist....Your going to get the...

    I agree with Johnny....IMO for round ball shooting under 45 cal and especially 40 and below 1 in 48...45 to 54, 1 in 66...58 and up, 1 in 72...This not to say that faster or slower twists won't work, but they seem to get pretty tempermental if you get out of the more idea twist range...Meaning...

    I use the same 58 cal load in my Hawken full stock flinter for muleys, elk, antelope, and bear...36 inch GRRW barre with 1 in 72 twist...540 round ball with 120 grains of FFg GOEX...Targets and woods walks under 50 yard, 60 grain load, 80 yard and out 90 grains...Medium well washed and dry...

    hammer to nipple alignment

    The hammer throw looks short and the angle of the hammer hose is off too...Don't believe you can change the angle of the nipple threads in the breech without major work, which would fix the whole thing... You can either try a different hammer with a longer throw and also heat and bent the nose...

    Sights

    IMO, regardless of what anyone will tell you or believe they are telling you, no one can see the target, front sight, and the rear open sight all at the same time clearly...Your eyes just don't have the depth of vision to deal with all three... Need to consentrate on the target and front sight...
