    Lyman trade rifle sights

    I'm looking to upgrade sights on my Lyman trade rifle. I do not like the look of the Tang peep sight for the Lyman. My question is will the Williams bullseye sight work on a Lyman being the rear sight is half way down the barrel?

    I understand pure lead is a must for muzzleloaders and I'm sure this was talked about but I'm new to muzzleloaders and casting. I have my share of pure lead and hundreds of reals casted and roundballs for hunting. I was given 60 pound of stick on wheel weights and probably the same in clip...

    Thanks I'm not sure if u have this on the internet somewhere else or not but that's exactly what I seen it was 2x2x3 with wheels. I'm looking to make something like this. I will only be shooting 50 cal round balls and 320 reals into it. Would u think 24 inch deep would be ok just to lighten it...

    This is a good idea like I said in the last post I do have ar500 to do this but I also do have some different place I also shoot at so lighter would be better. But for a stationary target I will be doing this. Sand would work the best and using a rubber liner to hold the sand seems to work...

    I agree with was deflection plate I was thinking the same thing I do have some ar500 for that. From what I seen is a wood box with wood baffles inside to divide to make it easier to find the lead. Also it was said that around 18 inches would stop high powered rifle rounds and shaking the box...

    Yesterday i shot 320 reals out of the trade. New gun didnt do anything with the sights yet or even work on a load yet and 3 shots at 50 yards and got a 3 in group

    Thanks for the help i went with the trade rifle picked one up today found a local shop that had one for 439.99. I will be changing the sights sometime this summer

    i agree the deerstalker in nothing to look at but i did like the price i found on it 380 new. but i had to pass and my buddy picked it up. i like the look of the trade rifle much better only bad thing is i cant find it anywhere and to order i cant even find a decent price. did find a site...

    yes it will be more traditional i hate the snythetic stock on my tc. being that my firestorm was not taken care of by the orginal owner the barrel is pitted so it will be an upgrade from the condition my gun is in. if it was a tc hawkens or something decent i would have the barrel bored to a .54.
