If you ordered from 22 reloader it will take a while. I believe he’s a one man operation but you will receive your cap maker.
The caps you ordered from where? How long ago? Be more specific . In Caden you got scammed we need to know who the scammer was.
The Loader person didnt take my order so that got squared away. No issues there. The rws caps are another story. I will try to find my record to get the name.

Sorry you had some bad deals with scammers online. I'm only replying to suggest some solutions. Cost of everything we need for this sport has gone up. After over 30 years in this I still have no problem getting caps , powder , flints, ball or anything needed. It's been a few years now of short supply. As a serious competitor in BP pistol I was warned long ago of periods of shortages so I always keep a few years of of supplies and cast my own ball. Some BP supply guy are more reputable. Among the best are those who are sellers at the NMLRA championships. "The log cabin shop" for example. Hunting for caps right now is most difficult now but not impossible.Just a hint, I started reinforcing my stock when the modern stuff started to short knowing we were next. All sports hit rough patches. Just ask the fishing guys how much they paid per fish after paying for all that gear, boat, travel cost etc. Our hobby or sport is more reasonable than most...c
Very good post. I always keep a couple hundred caps and a few, ahem, pounds of powder on hand. I also mold my own balls. It drives my wife crazy, 'til she needs something I've stocked up on. Semper Fi.

This is like the 4th or fith time ive read " i have no problem getting caps".
With all due respect, how does that help us newbies?
Yes, some of us just heard about BP and cap and ball pistols.
We dont all start from the same place.

You have a good point. This is what advice I can give you, search the internet and when you find a deal make sure you investigate the site for reviews and BBB ratings. Caps will be available shortly as discussed in previous threads about CCI starting production in the summer. Natchez, (had them in stock for the 4th of July sale) Midway, Graf, Cabelas/Basspro are trustworthy and will deliver the goods. Search your local stores for any stock that may pop up. Some Walmarts are receiving CCI caps for $6 a tin!! I haven’t seen any in my area yet but I keep checking. If you have Acedemy near you check them out. They get CCIs now and then.

The problem is, ever sense this Covid BS big business and crooks have figure out how bad people want things and what there willing to pay or do for it. When I first decided to shoot my ML again I wanted Blackhorn 209, but couldn't find it. Now I get emails for it for $99 for 8oz, over $200 a lb. I got Black from Dixons, yea the price went up, but I'm looking across the counter at the man selling it to me, working to make a living. I'll stick with black and support local business as much as I can.

I want to support the locals too but when they want $38 a pound for Schuetzen and $22 per cap tin, makes it hard to when Graf had the BP for $18.99 on sale or $21 regular price offering huge savings when ordering at least 4-5 containers to offset the hazmat and shipping fees. Cabelas had caps for $12 a tin shipped to the store with no hazmat or shipping fees making it almost half price from my local shop’s price.

Until those local businesses try to dry h**p you with their pricing.

Bass Pro/Cabela's are supposed to be the big dogs on the sporting goods block, but their prices are outrageously high.

All of our lives we've heard buying in bulk lowers prices. I can't imagine any other firearm carrying company buying more bulk guns and powder than those two.

Yet their prices don't reflect that. BP/C are consistently higher than small shops that list items on the internet. BP had 1,000 primers for 158 bucks.

I bought a Ruger America on a military base for 145 dollars less than BP. That shouldn't be the norm. Because military bases don't buy enough bulk to offset that kind of savings. I took my receipt to BP and showed it to a manager. Told him BP should be ashamed of themselves. Told him their pricing should include a dollop of Vaseline. Told him if he's going to sc**w the customers, at least make it hurt a little less.

As I've said on here many times, businesses have turned buying guns, ammo, powder and projectiles into Baby and Baby Formula/Razor and Razor Blades style pricing.

You can't shoot a cartridge gun without ammo, so they charge the most they can get away with. You can't shoot a muzzleloader without powder and ball, so they charge the most they can get away with.

Know who I respect. The Lee Company. You can still buy a Lee Bullet/Ball Mold for less than 30 bucks. They could charge far more, but they don't.

This genre is dying because 700 dollar rifles cost 1,400 dollars.

Because 14 dollar powder cost 28 dollars.

Because 10 cent lead balls now cost 60 cents.

The list could go on until we ran out of internet.

Who didn't send your caps? Grafs?
It not just Muzzle Loading. As essentials become un-affordable all non-essentials become either luxuries or worse, millstones.

I always stocked up on things that I knew would be needed. When the BP Bug struck I stocked up on primers and powder but my shooting friends didn't. That created a problem when I started keeping my stock from them. The same thing happened with modern reloading supplies got short, everyone wanted my stock.

Bought caps at Oneonta NY walmart last Sunday checked again today. No more. price was 5.62 a tin

I just bough a tin in a Nashville Wally's for the same price. That was the last one. One of the employees told me they got a box of 10 for the display and that was all. Maybe they'll get re-supplied at some point, but who knows?

This whole 'Cap Thing' we read every day reminds me of the Great Ammo Shortage of the Hillary Era and the recent Covid/Election hype. The prices on modern unmentionable ammo, if even available, was thru the roof; now, you can't practically GIVE it away. Panics come and go; all us muzzle types need to stock up massively so that the next time some unimaginable socio-political upheaval occurs, we've all go what we need for a good several years! I'll not leave a shelf or product hook empty at a store, but I'm buyin' all the caps I can legally get. Join me!

I have posted in multiple forums, will redo.
Search and join all the Facebook groups you can find. NMLRA, Cap & Ball Revolvers, Everything Black Powder, Colt 1851 Navy are the big forums.
From there find out about groups to join like NMLRA. Join local clubs in your area. Civil War buffs, re-enactors, etc.
This is how you find caps. It’s not what you know it’s who you know.
How does this help you ask. Because while the unwashed masses are waiting for Walmart to get a box that is gone before you know about it, you may come across a club member who has cases in backroom of the gun store he owns and caters to friends and members.
And THAT is how you get caps.
