300 for the pair i really dont know anything about antique underhammers i received them from a guy that bought my 4wheeler he didnt have enough $ so i gave it a chance and accepted themI'm interested. What's the price? What's the bore condition?
any help with your knowledge of these would be very much appreciated i dont want sell myself short when i get rid of themI'm interested. What's the price? What's the bore condition?
First they are not antique. They were manufactured by Numrich Arms and roughly followed a Hopkins and Allen design. They were a budget priced muzzle loader but generally well made and shot well. In nice condition will generally bring around $300 for the rifle version and a little less for the buggy rifle which is the ones you have. Condition is very important regarding price and you need better photos.any help with your knowledge of these would be very much appreciated i dont want sell myself short when i get rid of them

im so confused now do i disregard what denster said or is he correctI know this is an advertisement for selling the rifle but for those interested, here is a brief history of Hopkins & Allen according to "Flayderman's Guide".
They made guns from 1868 to 1915, most of them being cheap pocket revolvers. The company was the successor to Bacon Mfg. Co after buying all of its production machinery.
Thomas Bacon is believed to have worked for Ethan Allen perhaps before 1840. Around 1848 Bacon started the Bacon & Company producing handguns.
Among these were underhammer pepperboxes and underhammer pistols which he called "Undercocks".
Apparently his company provided the design information needed to also make the underhammer rifle which is offered in this sale.

I remember when they came on the market in the late 50's. As far as I know they were an original design by Numrich, also Gun Parts Corp., using features of traditional underhammers. George Numrich had just bought the remaining parts as well as the rights to use the name of Hopkins & Allen Firearms when they folded so he used their H&A brand on the guns.
each? oh no i already set up deal for 300 for the pairSherm,
There are new improved models available now and these have diminished in value. However you are undervaluing what you have. If in good condition with a good bore they should bring $300-350 each without much problem. That does not include shipping.

Sherm:
If you struck a deal for $300 for both, from the condition of the pictures shown, someone got a good deal.
If the bores a messed up badly, that is another story.
But still $300 for both is quite a deal.
Seriously, today, what do you get for $150, other than a speeding ticket.
