Tried and true finished cherry

I finished my cherry stock with rubbed tried and true so could I still darken it with easy off oven cleaner or should I put it out in sun

Easy off will eat the Tried and True. Sunlight is the only way now. Maybe a uv buld?

No problem I put it out today in the sun I'll do that every day

I used just an oil finish no stain and it has darkened pretty well. My Cherry kibler colonial .58 smoothbore

Be anxious to see how your wood turns out. I plan on a cherry stock SMR down the road and I've never worked with it before.

Here is my SMR in cherry i finished in 2020. I only used Tried and True and let it darken naturally. The first 2 pictures are right after i finished it. The picture with the deer is from last November. Sorry i don't have a recent close up. I really like the Tried and True finish but it is easy to scratch which is OK with me as my gun is a working gun not a show piece.
