#6's are my go to shot size. They drop everything that flies in my neck of the woods which includes turkeys and peacocks.

Stubs,

# 6 also Very Good. :)
Old Phillip Percival was known to have shot a lion as dead as mutton with sixes. Mind, he let him get close, and let drive at the back of his lug-hole as he walked past...

No 7 is the English measure, but same as # 7 1/2 over this side of the pond. (340 /ounce)

A pellet of No. 7 shot is .10" diameter and 1.5 gr.

A pellet of No. 71/2 shot is .095" diameter and 1.29gr.

There are aprox. 350 pellets of No. 71/2 shot in a 1 ounce load.

I use copper plated 5's in my ML smoothies for hunting for the last 20+ years. Birds ,squirrels and predators. I'ma staying with them. Success has given me confidence with them.

You like 7's, 6's and are confident in them use em.

Thanks. This game is filled with guys who do the same thing with different approaches.
#5 shot is a good size where tougher game is involved. As a kid I used #5 in my shotgun for pheasants. Very effective.
