Thompson Center Hawken, .50 caliber percussion. A very good, reliable, solid T/C Hawken. Browned barrel with bore in excellent condition (prefer green light in bore but could only find red). Has an adjustable rear sight. Great shooting rifle. $375. Accept PayPal friends as well.

Not to hijack the thread , what is that nice looking rear sight?
I see it looks dovetailed into the barrel, did you do that? From memory T/C rear sights were attached with screws.

Unfortunately I can't tell you much about the sight. It is in dovetail but was already on the rifle when I took possession of it.

The sight was the first thing I noticed when looking at these pictures too. I like it a lot, it really gives it the classic authenticity of the original rifles from the time period. I'd like to replace my pop up screw sights with something like this on my own T/C Hawken to make it more period correct.

It’s a buckhorn sight from something else I believe.

That peep feature makes it not eligible for primitive matches. However, some clubs do relax that rule due to our many members who have aging eyesight.
