Was this a kit rifle???
I hope @joeboleo1 doesn't mind me jumping in here, but since he bought the gun from me, I can provide a bit of information. The gun started as a factory gun, .45 caliber. I swapped the barrel out for a .50 cal barrel, which I believe was a kit barrel. Last winter I stripped the factory finish, sanded the stock (leaving a few character dings) and, did a light applicaton of dark walnut stain and then coat after coat after coat of tung oil. The stock has a really nice, almost satin finish and looks really sharp.

Splitear....you saw this before I did. Thanks for the first hand info, appreciate it.

Thanks,,, I appreciate the jump.

REDUCED: Most important concern on a used rifle (in my humble opinion) is the bore. Hopefully this photo helps a bit more. The bore is in excellent condition on this rifle. Price $325 includes shipping to lower 48.
