When I started this build I researched the pedersoli flint SxS to use as a reference piece but I found a lot of negative reviews on it. Owners didn’t like the drop of the stock ,the trigger pull or the amount of spark they were getting with the locks and I guess you have to remove the left frizzen spring to remove the locks.
I switched gears and decided to build a SxS using Bill Brockways book.
This is what I came up with:
; 20 gauge
; 28”long barrels
; Both barrels are jug choked. I don’t remember the amount of the choke but you can feel the chokes when loading.
; FAST L&R Manton locks with great spark that you can actually get replacement parts for
; Stainless vent liners with .06 flash hole
; Tapered hickory ram rod with a glued and pinned brass 20 gauge tip.
; Nice dense English walnut stock that flows through the wrist nicely
; LOP is 14” to rear and 14 3/4 to front trigger
; 8 1/2 pounds on my bathroom scale
; 3 inch drop at the rear of the comb
; 1 3/4 drop at the front of the comb
; 8 1/4 inch drop at the heel
; All cold blued barrels and furniture
; trigger pull is nice

I am not one of the elite builders that I see on the internet but I think this SxS turned out really nice and I am not asking the price of a master builder. It pulls up and mounts very nice.
The locks are polished and tuned inside and out and are very fast and great spark. The frizzens each only have 2 strikes in them. One to make sure they spark and one for the test fire.
Each of the barrels have been fired twice. Once for proofing per Brockways book and once for the test fire.
This gun is new
Im asking $1600.00 for the gun shipping included in the lower USA.
It will ship in a hard case.
USA sales only please.

Test fire at 25 yards. I only fired to test everything. It’s up to the buyer to work up a load.
