How about a welders mask?

I doubt that a person would be able to
aim a rifle while wearing a welder's mask.

The risk of eye discomfort being caused
by irritants depends on the type of
glasses that a person wears, how well
they fit and the amount of coverage that
they provide.

I need glasses for reading and distance. No glasses will work for shooting. I use the piece of tape with a hole in it on my glasses. Sort of the cheap version of a peep sight.

I wear eye glasses that are repros of period style with safey lenses to protect my eyes and to be able to see and read. A couple years back at a reenactment I had a cap split and a peice came back and left a mark in the left lens of my glasses. So I'm a firm believer in eye protection.

Due to my heavy prescription, it is critical how my glasses sit on my face for me to see clearly. I have tried various sports goggles, but they sit too tight to my face and magnify my vision too much.

I guess I had better shoot someone's guns a little before making the plunge. Thanks for all of the feedback. I realize my situation is very unusual.
