@Rob M.

This is extraordinarily generous of you, and it is very kind of @Berta Newton to allow it! I would love to have a digital copy. I've been nuts about trade guns since I was a kid, but somehow missed out on Mr. Newton's book. I knew about it, I guess, but when I decided to buy it, the book was no longer available.

My wife and I recently got PDFs of a couple of music books, and I took them to a local print shop and had them printed out and spiral bound. The shop did a super job on these, the price was reasonable, and the spiral binding allows the book to lie flat on a table, workbench, or music stand. I would probably do the same with Mr. Newton's book if a PDF becomes available.

Best regards,

Notchy Bob

Very cool !! Its working ! I just love seeing Pryor Mtn. Bills knowledge being shared and appreciated ! Bucks me up ! Seriously folks ....I you just get a dry piece of walnut and inlet the barrel half way , nothing else , you are well upon your way to having a smoothbore that can kill any game in this country ... I remember my first NW gun after reading this book . I could not afford or even know where to get brass at so I made everything out of steel scrap , it turned out really cool ! I had a hundred bucks in that gun. Got a picture of me shootin it somewhere , it made the coolest circle with a dot in the middle from the touch hole , gotta find it for ya ....any who , I digress ..... Barrel bedding is the hardest part ....just take it in slow steps and you'll get the whole thing done , love that book ! If it takes ya 2-3 years ! No biggy ! Hell , I been building on my house for 6 years and it ain't done yet ! LOL ! But I got a place to lay my head at night ! Any who .... Glad ya all are getting Mr. Newtons wisdom , please share it with others and if I missed anyone just holler at me ....
