I took this little guy in 13ish.. I was sitting on the edge of the hills on a fence that dumped into a pivot. There was a good little deer trail that they would trickle down to feed.
Super foggy morning, and I had a couple does walk right behind me and down the fence, I lost them in a little dip but then they reappeared and I watched them jump the fence into the pivot. Then at about 100 yards I took a nice broadside shot. When I walked down there I was shocked to see him.. I guess somewhere in that dip he had joined them, and at 100 yards In that fog couldn't make out the little forks.. He was excellent eating, but a good lesson too. (our tags allow either so it wasn't really a big deal in that aspect)
