Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have been an enthusiast since my early teens. When other kids were looking at the Sears Dream Book, I had a Dixie catalog. My dad and I always wanted to build a rifle together. In the 60s he would find them at flea markets and flip them. He's gone and I'm semi retired.

Looking to build a Kibler SMR as my gateway drug. :ghostly:

Thank you for the welcome!! All three of y'll are from areas I'm familiar with:

  • My wife is from Bedford, IN. Lawrence County
  • I grew up not far from Winchester, VA. I remember the Mount Weather plane crash in 1974. My brother in-law worked at that facility.
  • I just recently moved here from Winston Salem, NC.

Wish I'd saved all my '60's Dixie Catalogs; look at prices on e-bay for them! o_O
