I own a little Lyman flintlock,I put a drop-in lock in it.The Lock works good.I was having problems getting good consistant ignition untill the other night.I read an old article in MUZZLELOADER that reminded me that every thing had to be right in order to get good ignition, every time.I checked my New flint for tightness in the jaws often,I inserted my ventpick in the touch hole and left it there while loading,I put more prime in my pan than I was before. All those things helped me get good ignition every time.My next range session I am going to work on shooting it accurately offhand.Any tips would be appreciated. This flint thing could be addictive.
