Here I have a .69 caliber 1816 Springfield Flintlock Musket mfg. in 1832.
Lock reads “1832” above arched “MIDDn CONN”. Forward of the lock reads “US JOHNSON” around faint eagle. Barrel plug has matching 1832, as well as clear US and “JM” inspector markings next to “P”. Buttplate has proper “US”. Stock has correct and clear inspector cartouche, as well as remnants of a rack number forward of the butt plate. Strong springs makes for a mechanically fine lock. Correct original ramrod, both sling swivels intact. Nice bore.
Weight: 9.2 lbs
Length: 58”
Barrel: 42”
$1550 shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
