I dated a girl years ago, her dad had a 32 caliber CVA squirrel rifle. He used some kind of conical bullet, it had to be for a modern pistol round- he shot and reloaded for many modern revolvers. He said it was accurate, but tore up squirrels and rabbits too bad. He got one coyote with it, but it was pure luck as it was a close up shot.

The originals were called ball-ets. They were made by Hornady, then Buffalo bullets. Deer Creek out of Indiana may still have some. They're short. Keeps them stable. They still make the .50 cal version. The .32 is nos if you can find them.
