    I have some TOTW Trappers mink oil but need to get more. I noticed the picture of what they are selling now is a golden yellow. The stuff I have had for quite some time is white. Anyone know why there is a difference in color ? Has TOTW changed something ?

    Mr Flintlock

    Are there any videos available showing Mr Flintlock ( George Sutton) Loading his rifle? I am just curious to his procedure, does he wipe between shots or use a grease or liquid lube or perhaps a spit patch.

    Leather Patches

    Does anyone use leather for patches ? I just thought that leather would have been used 1-2 centuries ago, maybe rarely, but used. Also has anyone tried cutting up a chamois and using that as a patch ? Seems like they could be used over and over if found.

    Patches

    Does anyone else here use leather for patches ? I use,on occasion, Chamois as patch material. It works great and you could reuse the patches if you were so inclined. I get the same POI with this as I do using ticking. It costs a lot more than ticking so I just use it every now and then.

    What are the differences between the J&S Hawken and the S Hawken rifles ? I have a S Hawken and im curious about this. Looking at pictures does not seem to help me.

    What style (if any) of rifle is this ?

    I bought this rifle and i am just curious if it falls into any particular style or not. It has a .50 cal 32" Green mtn barrel,7/8" across the flats has a small Siler lock and is mounted in silver. It weighs in at 6 1/2 lbs.

    Trigger Help ... please

    I have a double set double phase trigger. When you set the trigger the front one is WAY too light.The hammer will stay cocked but as soon as you "touch" the trigger it fires.I have tried adjusting the screw but it does not help.Any ideas what the problem is or how to stiffen the trigger pull ?

    Anyone know of Ardessa (of Spain)? I know they make barrels and locks and triggers and such for BP rifles. I am curious as to how long they have been doing it,the quality of their goods and such as that. I can not find much at all on the net. Thanks.
