    If they can find acorns you won't see many at a bait site. In northern Michigan trail cameras show lots deer at the bait in the middle of the night.The cost of bait this year will make it prohibitive?

    Yeah if you want to see a lot of squrriels go bow hunting. I play the wind, had a sent lock suit that didn't work.About the pee thing yours and the deers all turn to ammonia in a short time so they can't tell yours from theres.

    TC rate of twist

    Thanks for the response. The barrel is 27 inches including the breach plug.The twist is not marked on the barrel.I hunt with a flintlock but am looking forward to playing with this rifle. :wink:

    I just bought a 54 cal.TC caplock in very good condition #25525 serial.Gave a freind a $100. for it. How do I tell the twist in the barrel. Rocky

    Range Shooting and Resting a Barrel

    I don't think I can reload a flintlock fast enough to make any difference with the heat issue.lol With a center fire I just shoot three shot groups and let it cool.

    GPR Kits

    I put a Gpr kit together and I like the way it turned out,got a deer with it on its first hunt. Just take your time,if i can do it most anyone can.
