    Anybody else "play guns"?

Like David above, I do except it drives the wife crazy(she thinks I'm loosing it)but fortunately she's working evenings for awhile and I can exercise the guns regularly without a hassle.

    No more New..OLD ARMY'S

No matter who did it or why; it's still a darn shame that the last American made B/p pistol is going into history even though the company continues. :(

    No more New..OLD ARMY'S

I broke down and bought one in stainless about 4 years ago for much less than the blued sell for now, but as far as availability, it seems that there is a steady supply of NIB going at auction sites. I wouldn't sell mine for 3 times what I paid, it's a great shooter and just plain fun to hunt...

    Cabelas

I think DGW has some cannons and barrels. My brother and I bought a 3/4"bore from them several years ago, and we made the carriage as a scout project. We even took it on camping trips and fired it, they can't do that now. My son has it now and still occasionally fires it.

    Japanese kit

You might try contacting Dixie Gun Works, they were a primary importer of those guns and might have some old stock parts.

    Ultra-Hi Miroku Hawken .50

Dixie Gun Works was one of the primary importers of their rifles and kits, primarily the Tennessee and the Kentuckies, they always got favorable reviews from the buyers.
