    Fort Lupton Muzzleloaders... Colorado

I talked to Jim at Blunderbuss today, he said the event this weekend is invite only. The next paper shoot is the following Sunday at 10am. I asked him about the emails, I got a vague answer. I will try to get it straightened out again at the shoot.

So you want a long rifle.

Going out on a limb here, but from my own experience, it takes more patience and research than skill to complete a rifle. The skill is in mastering the patience.

    Powder shelf life?

I was surprised how fast the stuff BP substitue degraded once it was open. Slow ignition and no fires only a couple months after opening the original can. I too, now only use BP.

I found an Armsport no 5146 Hawken

As a target shooter only, it will see no more than 80gr at a 100 yd target. I drop down to 65 gr after that below a 100. I only shoot patch and ball. I appreciate the information regardless.

I found an Armsport no 5146 Hawken

I can not find any information on this gun anywhere. Armsport model no 5146, 50 cal. I was hoping someone may have some kind of an idea on the twist of the barrel. It was made in Italy, 13/16ths across the flats. Light compared to my other 3 Hawken. I got a great deal on it for another shooter.

Finding a "fly" for Cabellas 54

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I lost it a month or so ago. The chances of finding it are pretty much gone at this point in time. It shoots fine with out the set trigger engaged. This will work.

Finding a "fly" for Cabellas 54

In the process of restocking my Cabellas, I lost the fly when in letting the lock panel. Would anybody have a suggestion for a replacement? I believe it is the same as the Investarms lock. Looked at Cabellas ,but no luck.

    What is going on here?

I have to say that the level of immaturity I have seen here is only rivaled by my Daughter's pink pony forums...... I am beginning to wonder if I come back for the education or the entertainment. :nono:

    What finish on maple....

It would be great to have a sticky and posts with photos describing which type of stain, and process involved. If people are willing to share their top secrets. Just a thought.
