    Thin-walled 20ga Sharon?

I have the same barrel. It was bought in the early 80's. My dove load is the same as I use in my fowler, 80 grains 3f and 1 3/8 ounces shot. I also shoot a patched 600 ball with 80 grains of 2 or 3 f. The barrel is a high quality. The only problem I have had is getting it to drop into the...

Looking to blast some wasp nests...

I have used the little round Barry's from hackberry trees to remove wasp nests from a barn. It worked well and did not damage the barn wood. My load was about 60 grains of 2F.

    Replacing white lightning liner

I am not a gun builder, but have White Lighting vent liners on a rifle and a fowler. They are great. They were installed during the builds by James Klien and Brian Turner. Are you wanting to replace an existing vent liner with a White Lighting liner? The thread size will probably be...

    Old time smoke house

Both of my grandfathers had tin smokehouses. One had a concrete floor and one had a dirt floor. They had to keep them locked when the grand kids visited. I once got in trouble for digging a hole into the dirt floor smokehouse and raiding the sausage. They both used rotten post oak for smoking.

    What happened to the dove???

I've had good opening day success at small stock tanks near Austin. This year the tanks are bone dry. I've hunted the property since 1962 and this is the first time I have seen all four tanks dry. I didn't go hunting. Most of the white wing doves are in my back yard pecan trees anyway.

    Hog hide ideas

A raw hog hide is cut in strips and fried in lard until crisp. I think even Bill Clinton likes to eat them.

If I wanted an Issaic Haines Flintlock:

Jim Chambers recommended James Klein to me to put together a LH 54 Isaac Haines rifle. Mr Klein did an excelect job at a reasonable price.

    Brian Turner Rifles

I have a 62 fowler made by Brian Turner. I love the way it smokes doves. He does excellent work at a fair price

    Eurasain collared doves

We have them all over central and south Texas. There is no season for them. They can be hunted year round. I see them all the time in Wal Mart parking lots.

    Best Squirrel State

Texas. I live in Travis County were there is no closed season and no bag limit. Most of the 254 counties are like Travis County. The counties in east Texas have seasons with dates like Oct 1-Feb 1 and May 1-31 with a daily bag limit of 10. Squirrel season is a big event in east Texas. Of...

    Dutch Schoultz System

I bought Dutch's instructions and they work. The main point he stresses, I believe, is to have everything consistent from shot to shot. His advice is well worth the money. I learned quite a bit and I now have a five gallon bucket of water soluble oil that should last me several lifetimes.
